Everything important about ClaaroPlan in one place – from calendar and routines to privacy and pricing.
ClaaroPlan is a family organization app for Android that turns the chaotic everyday life of any family into clear structure. Appointments, tasks, routines, medication reminders, lists, recipes, notes, and meal planning — all in one app, all synced live. Built with a special focus on clarity and reduced stimulation, which is why it's especially popular with families dealing with ADHD, autism, or similar needs. But honestly: every family benefits once everyday life is finally organized in one place.
No — and that's one of the biggest differences from other family apps. No account, no email, no password. Just install the app, invite your family with a code, and get started right away. Kids can join without having their own email address, and tech-skeptical family members don't have to fight their way through a registration form. Nothing stands between you and a calmer family life.
Appointments can be created with start/end times, a description, and multiple family members. Every change is visible to everyone instantly. Appointments can be shared with anyone — even outside the family — via WhatsApp, Signal, or text. The other person doesn't need an account: they get a link, see every detail, and can RSVP yes or no. If the other person has ClaaroPlan, they can import the appointment straight into their own app — without linking the two families. That way, shared appointments are possible while both families stay completely independent. Push notifications keep everyone in the loop.
Yes — ClaaroPlan is ideal for this. Appointments can be shared with anyone outside the family, with no need for the other person to create an account. They get a link via WhatsApp, Signal, or text, see every detail, and can RSVP yes or no. If the other parent also uses ClaaroPlan, they can import the appointment straight into their own app — the two families don't need to be linked for that. Both families stay completely independent, while kids' appointments and handovers can still be coordinated together. Blended families can run several family groups in parallel and share appointments with specific people as needed.
Routines repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Monthly routines can be set precisely — e.g. "2nd Tuesday of the month" or "last Friday of the month". For daily routines, you can set which weekdays they apply to (e.g. Mon–Fri for homework). Routines can be paused (e.g. during holidays) and started again later. A time limit can optionally be set — when you start the routine, a timer runs as a circular progress display. Routines are visible directly on the tasks screen and show up on the board every day. New: for managing medication, there are now dedicated medication routines 💊 — with morning, midday, and evening slots, reminders (e.g. 15 minutes ahead), and automatic cancellation of the reminder once checked off.
Tasks can be created with a time estimate, energy level, deadline, note, and assignment to family members. Big tasks can be broken into smaller steps using AI. A built-in timer shows progress as a circular progress display — you can see at a glance how much time is left. The timer keeps running in the background, with a pause option. Tasks completed by kids wait for parent approval — an approval banner appears on the board.
Every family member can earn coins — parents too, if they want. Coins are earned for completed tasks and routines. Parents decide how many coins a task is worth and what coins can be redeemed for (e.g. 30 minutes of playtime = 50 coins). Once someone has enough coins, they can "buy" a reward from their parents — the parents confirm it, and the coins are deducted. Rewards can be edited later.
Lists in ClaaroPlan are universal — not just for shopping. Create any list you want: groceries, vacation packing, to-dos, checklists, packing lists — whatever the family needs. All lists are synced live: whatever one person enters or checks off, everyone sees instantly. Ingredients from the weekly meal plan are added automatically, and the list is smart: identical items from multiple recipes are combined automatically (e.g. 2 × 400g ground beef → 800g). New: every list can be restricted to specific family members via the ⚙️ icon — ideal for planning surprises or age-appropriate content.
Log lists are a special list type for tracking shifts with a date, duration, and person — ideal for respite care, babysitting, homework supervision, or similar. Each entry records the date, the duration (all-day or hours via a time picker), and optionally a family member. Entries can be marked as "settled" — the app automatically calculates outstanding and settled days and hours. All entries sync live with the family.
In the weekly meal plan, you can plan a dish for each day — either from the recipe database or as free text (e.g. "we're eating out"). Tapping a planned dish opens the recipe directly. The recipe database shows a clear list, and tapping opens the full recipe. With free-text search and filters (breakfast / lunch / dinner) you can find what you're looking for quickly. Recipes can also be saved directly into ClaaroPlan as links from browser apps (Instagram, TikTok, cooking sites, Cookidoo, YouTube, Pinterest) and opened with a tap.
The widget shows today's appointments (including Google Calendar), routines, and tasks for the day right on the homescreen — no need to open the app. Tapping an entry opens it directly in the app. The size is fully adjustable: height determines the number of entries, width depends on your device and launcher. The widget updates automatically.
ClaaroPlan can read tasks, routines, recipes, notes, and AI-generated text out loud. Voice and speed can be chosen freely and are saved permanently. Especially useful for people with dyslexia or ADHD.
The AI (powered by Claude) helps break big tasks into manageable steps, generate recipes, and draft planning text. AI features run only on active request — no data is ever transmitted automatically.
One person creates the family. To invite a new member, an invitation code is generated individually for each person — it's only valid for 30 minutes and expires automatically afterward. You'll find the code in the app under Family. The new member enters it and is connected instantly. All data — appointments, tasks, routines, lists — is synced in real time. Every family member has their own profile with a name, avatar, and color.
Yes — you'll see your Google Calendar events directly in ClaaroPlan. Tapping "+ ClaaroPlan" imports an event and links it both ways: changes or deletions in Google are picked up automatically. You decide who in the family can see the imported event. Conversely, you can also push a ClaaroPlan event to Google — choosing whether both entries stay in sync or only one is kept. The import is always manual — no appointment ends up in ClaaroPlan without your action. That's intentional, so work appointments and private entries don't automatically become visible to everyone.
Yes — ClaaroPlan distinguishes three roles: parent, teen, and child.
Kids get a simplified view with their own tasks, routines, and coin balance — without access to family settings or other areas.
Teens have access to every area (board, calendar, tasks, routines, lists, food, notes, coins), can create their own tasks and routines, but can't set coin values or change family settings.
For both: tasks completed with a coin reward show up as "waiting for approval" until a parent confirms. Parents can always switch directly into the child or teen view — switching back is protected by the family PIN. Content not meant for a child or teen can be hidden using "Visible to".
Every family member can optionally protect their profile with a 4-digit profile PIN. Switching to that profile prompts for the PIN. Important: only you can change or remove your own PIN — not even other parents have access. If you forget your PIN, there's no reset. The profile can then be deleted — which irreversibly removes all associated data (tasks, routines, coins). This restriction is intentional: it prevents other family members from bypassing the PIN. Profiles with an active PIN are marked with 🔐 in the family overview.
Yes — appointments, tasks, routines, medication routines, and lists can be restricted to specific family members using "Visible to". Content restricted this way never appears for any other profile — not on the board, the today screen, or in the routines or lists view. Push notifications are also only sent to authorized profiles — no unauthorized profile receives a reminder. This is especially useful when parents want to keep things private from each other or from kids — combined with the profile PIN, it creates privacy from end to end.
ClaaroPlan has three profile roles — each with a fitting scope of features:
🧒 Child — simplified view: own tasks, routines, and coin balance. No access to other areas. Coin tasks need parent approval.
🧑 Teen — full access to every area (board, calendar, tasks, routines, lists, food, notes, coins). Can create and edit their own tasks and routines. Can't set coin values or change family settings. Coin tasks need parent approval.
👑 Parent — full access to everything, including family settings, approvals, setting coin values, and managing all family content.
Family data is stored encrypted in Firebase (Google Cloud). Data is never sold and never used for advertising. AI features only run on active request. You can delete all your data yourself at any time. Details in the Privacy Policy.
ClaaroPlan is currently available free as an open Android beta; iOS is in development. Every feature is fully usable. After the beta, a price of $0.99 per device per month is planned.
